My production idea is to talk to teenagers/students about their decisions on what they are going to do when they are out of education and also advisers as well (teachers/senior tutors).
I will be going around interviewing students about what they plan on doing after education and asking teachers/senior tutors as well on what advice they could give to the students. This will be an expository and interactive documentary because of what I plan on doing.
My primary audience would be teenagers aged between 14-18 and students who are leaving high school and college. My secondary audience would be parents because they are also involved in what their son or daughter choose to do.
The aim of the documentary will be to show how hard it is to decide on what to do after education and also to give advice on what to do if you are in that position. I hope that the documentary will let students know that they are not the only ones struggling with ideas with what to do and give them a helping hand in what they need to do and who to ask for advice.
I will film in college as I need to interview students and teachers/senior tutors, Another place might be around the town interviewing more students and also filming in my house. The only place I will need to travel is into college.
I need students and teachers/senior tutors to be apart of my documentary as it is based on their views.
Some of my questions to the students will be "what do you plan on doing after you have finished being in education?" and "how long have you been thinking about this as well?". For teachers/senior tutors I will ask a question like "what advice will give to the students who are going to go out of education?"
The equipment I will need will be a video camera, tripod, an SD card and a mic so I wont have to buy anything for this documentary as it is all available from the college. Also no set costumes will be needed for this.
